Strengthening
Cooperation between Police and Civilians |

The Need to Strengthen Cooperation between
Police and Civilians |
| |
One of the unique things about the Internet
is that there is no one in charge of the Internet as a whole. This places a natural
limit on how much improving police organization can do to maintain good network
security. And in a networked society, just one system server with a low level
of security can provide an open door for high-tech criminals and cyber terrorists.
Governments, police agencies, and the civilian sector need to enhance their cooperation
even more. |

Establishing Partnerships with
Key Infrastructure Providers |
 |
An attack on key infrastructure
could severely impact the lives of everyone in Japan. For this reason, it is necessary
to quickly restore the functioning of this key infrastructure through emergency
response, and communication before the fact is vital for accomplishing this. The
Cyber Force is currently working with prefectural police agencies to request the
cooperation of groups of service providers, as well as individual service providers.
